Fillers are a non-surgical solution to add volume to areas that have lost collagen or hyaluronic acid. It is commonly used for lip augmentation or non-surgical face lifts, but can be done to treat many more skin concerns.
HOW IT WORKS
Fillers are made from a synthesized form of hyaluronic acid, which is a complex sugar molecule naturally found in the body. Fillers are done by injecting the hyaluronic acid into the desired area to give you voluminizing and filling effects in hallowed out/sunken areas. Although results of a filler is seen almost immediately, maintenance is still required. The length of the time depends on the injected area, and also varies person-to-person. Results of a filler can last up to 9 months on average but results may vary for all individuals and treatment areas. A consultation is required to determine the correct time frame.

Side Effects:
Side effects from a filler can be immediate but tends to dissipate within 1-2 weeks. Common side effects seen around the injected sites are redness, swelling, bruising, and itching.
